Introduction: Welcome to the grand undertaking

Good day gentlefolk

I wish upon you the most glorious of days as you grace our humble beginnings with your viewership. I am avidly excited to share the journey we are about to undertake with you as we begin development on our biggest project yet!. Throughout this monthly blog (with a few spotlights in-between) I will be bringing you updates and insights as to how this project is going. As of writing this, the prototype is already complete and ready for testing.

So, more about the game. Our newest project will be a top-down rogue-like shooter in which you (our most beloved player) will take up arms as an android fashioned by a very angry farmer built for one purpose and one purpose only: DESTROY the company, at all costs, no matter how many times you must try.

This game will be very fast paced and will strive to keep up the pressure on our beloved players.

Collect gear, make important decisions, and blast your way through this world in which no two games are the same! Geared towards midcore players playing on PC and Console, this project aims to hit a pretty wide audience. We are focusing primarily on twin-stick controller gameplay however keyboard and mouse support will be present.

A brief introduction to our wonderful team:
Jacob and Ben: Superstar artists interchanging between character and environment art and animations.
Donnacha: Player programmer, leading the charge on with player controls, combat and systems.
Kate: Chief enemy programmer, bringing crunchy enemies and bosses with her!
Raphael: Bringing some doom themed sound and audio spice to the mix.
Tom (Myself) as Project lead, coordinating the team and filling in all of the odd jobs.

Right now, we have a full head of steam and have plenty to show for it! with basic movement, combat, weapons and enemies already playable the game is in a very healthy state and is certainly on track to meet its next big target of a vertical slice which we aim to have done by the 16th of December. Farewell now, fair reader, and get ready, for this is only the beginning. . .
